Preparation for your flight
Below, you can find the health measures recommended by us and by the health authorities so that you can have a comfortable and peaceful trip:
At Copa Airlines we recommend
- oneCheck the travel requirements of the country of origin and destination.Several countries have also established entry restrictions for COVID19, visit the country’s official sites * for more information.
- twoDo Web Check-In and download your mobile boarding pass. The mobile boarding pass is allowed in most of the cities where we operate and with it you can go directly to the migration area, if you are not traveling with luggage to check in.
- 3Remember to wear your mask. The use of a mask is mandatory at several airports, at the Copa Clubs and during all our flights.
- 4Take alcohol gel with you.The use of alcohol gel is necessary in case you do not have immediate access to hand washing. Remember to respect the liquid restrictions that you can carry in your hand luggage.
- 5Make sure you comply with the measurements and weight allowed in your carry-on luggage. You can carry a piece of hand luggage and a personal item. We ask that you pack light enough so that you can store it in the top compartment without help.
- 6Arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before your flight departure time. Most airports have more controls than usual, so registration may take longer than normal.
- 7Take into account that in some airports, only people who are going to travel will be allowed to enter. If you require special assistance, you can enter with a companion.
- 8Remember that you can bring food for your personal consumption on board our flights. To minimize physical interactions on board, we have simplified our food and beverage service .
- 9To expedite the boarding process, have your boarding pass and personal identification documentation on hand. Each passenger will self-board by placing their boarding pass on the scanning device and showing their documentation to our agent at the door.
- 10It will not be allowed to change seats on board. In the event that a passenger shows symptoms of COVID-19, the health authorities will identify him by his seat number. Help us stay safe by staying in the assigned seat on your boarding pass.
- elevenUpon landing at your destination, remain seated in your seat waiting for your turn to exit the plane. We will disembark from front to back to reduce contact between passengers.
Recommendations of the health authorities
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds (especially after using the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing).
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth.
- When coughing or sneezing, cover yourself with the inside of your arm or with a disposable tissue. Throw it away after using it.
- If you have symptoms such as a dry cough, fever and / or sore throat and you don’t feel fit to travel, visit your doctor before deciding whether to keep the travel date or whether you should change it.
