Delta customers and employees will be required to wear a face mask, or appropriate face covering over their nose and mouth throughout their travel, aligning with best practice guidelines from the CDC

Face coverings will be required across all Delta touchpoints:

  • Lobby Check-in
  • Delta Sky Clubs
  • Boarding Gate Areas
  • Jet Bridges
  • On board the aircraft for the duration of the flight – except during meal service

Usage is also strongly encouraged in high-traffic areas, including security lines and restrooms. People unable to keep a face covering in place, including children, are exempt, along with those who have trouble wearing a mask due to an underlying medical condition. Customers are encouraged to communicate their exception with a Delta representative when asked to wear a face covering.

While we continue to encourage customers to bring their own face covering when traveling, supplies will be available for customers who need them.

After each flight, crews use electrostatic sprayers to sanitize aircraft interiors from floor to ceiling with a high-grade disinfectant. Cleaning crews then perform extensive manual cleaning procedures to wipe down cabin surfaces including seats, consoles, seatback screens, windows, doors, lavatories and other high-touch areas of the cabin.
